Hi folks
Just in case you don't know about it, there's a new campaign called Storm The Charts:
"We're looking for 40 bands and musicians on independent labels or completely unsigned, and when we've picked them, we're going to see how many we can make chart in the same week."
PLEASE NOTE: It's targeting the UK Top 40. And you need to own the rights to the song you submit, so it's original songs only.
Like Pop Idol's subversive bastard brother, over 10 weeks the campaign whittles down the number of considered songs from 1000(max) to 40. Then everybody buys their favourite tracks from chart-counting net-stores such as iTunes(UK) etc, during the week starting midnight 5th June. 17000 supporters have signed up so far.
Deadline for submitting a song is this coming Tuesday.

Er, don't 'old your breath chaps, tis a mere lottery und da only real winner is gonna be da bod's dat run da dang site, if they were serious they'd Um&Aah it, not take a "Da More Da Merrier" attitude, but of course they don't know jack shit about chartable music do they, so they're really just preying on artists/artistes hopes/sensibilities and then they have da gall to put the onus on Joe Public und his wife to chose eh!
4 da record, I reckon u got more chance here, cos there's a comp wiv a bonafide release on RWR as da prize, apparently.
Good luck anyhow u mug punters, but u cain't rely on mon vote i'm sorry 2 say, not my sorta game.

Er, tis moi again TWT, didn't intend to put you on the spot, of course there's no need to reply here imformally, I appreciate You're (er) Not One Of Us und hence like to keep your distance, a simple formal stiff-upper-lip-type announcement on the News page would suffice.
But I guess "each sample pack" is an error? as there seems to be no way to cast a vote for Hobo.
Und this voting malarky, tis the good people here that are deciding the winner is it?
It's just I think I've put mon money on the wrong horse, I went for Boho Hobo, so I wanna change my bet, if'n you get mon drift, und get on a possible winner.
