Remixer Notes
When i made Darwins Lament i never expected to get the many kind comments it recieved and since then i have had many people ask me about it.
The reason it came about was because Peter Gabriels voice has an emotional quality at any speed. Slowing it down exposes that quality even more.
So this mix gave me a chance to do that again even though there was not much to play with and return to Darwins style. My apologies to Angelique as it is PG who features here.
I have twisted the words around a little to suit my idea.
Guys have it easy when it comes to childbirth. But as we have little to do there is one thing that we see that the women do not and that is the whole birth process with a reasonably clear head. I wont even begin to talk about it its so personal. But at 6.30 in the morning in a delivery ward after working through 20 hours of labour everything takes on a unique form when that miracle appears.
There is a smile like no other but for me there was a light like no other too. It is a deeply, emotional, exhusting, life changing , all consuming experience.
This goes out to all the moms who suffer to make it all happen.
It is also for AndreasF and S both whose brains got a little fried with Darwins Lament

This is really a very personal interpetation and it was a real surprise to listen to this song in a slower tempo. It gives a completely different perspective.

I'm not a mom, so it's not dedicated to me. But I want to dedicate this sweet song to my mother with all my heart. She's not "here" anymore. The 2 of april will be exactly 8 years without her presence.

Avoiding saying something about your notes (because i just can't, i'm a wimp on this subject) let's just say you made a great tune, beyond remix imho, with the wellknown craftmenship.

One thing I forgot to say in the notes is that i wish i could have edited Angeliques verse but have not got a clue what i would have ended up with her singing or what sense it would have made.

Your "Evolution" is my personal No. 1, and believe me, I listened to all of them. For some special reasons I'm very sure that this one has no chance to win the competiton, but that does not matter to me. It is a great piece of music and a wonderful remix of Salala!
Loveshadow, I do remember well when I heard this one for the first time. Pure emotion, pure feeling. Listening to it while writing is wonderful again.
All of the songs you uploaded for the comptetiton are goodies. I apologize for not commenting on most of them, but the high quality and their high number made me run out of fitting words. All of your songs are great, many of them perfect, all of them highest-level produced. And not two of them sound the same way. And I'm not only talking about the ballads.

Beautiful like all of your remixes but I couldn't cope with the snare drum. It's better doubled with the percussion as later in the track. Big harmonies and very much feeling like a grand demo track of some huge Korg workstation.

I've heard good composers, good arrangers and great producers. But to hear someone that has all three elements happening is a rare treat. All three aspects are really happening. Once again I find myself listening to this remix over and over. Once to take in the new composition, once for the arrangement, twice for the production. Then I start again.
