Great, fresh use of some of the elements from the original version, and I love the big sound. My only critique would be that the whistling elements are a bit loud for my tastes, and drow out the rest of the track a bit when they're featured, but it's really a minor issue.
My mix sat unfinished on my hard drive for months too! Glad to see I wasn't the only one. Great work!
