oskar lewis Comments on Other's Remixes
amaai, dat is pas een remix. Ik hoor heel het euvre van Gabriel de revue passeren!!! mecri!
I think you remix the way I like to cook: I open the frigde, see what's in there, mix it together on a way I never did before, and then enjoy the meal.;
Vive la fête, freedom!!!
well?
no smile on your face, but a kick in the ass
All That Jazzzzzz.
Verry well done, but. (sorry, after all those positiveness) I miss a little bit the blues of the original takes. But don't bother my thoughts, maybe that's what remixing is about: turnin it into your own mood. maybe.
thanks 'radiotimes' but for the tempo change. I tried the 'normal' way (it's not a tempo change, but let's say you can't dance on it
) but that seemed so obvious for me. I liked the idea that a drummer could start, whenever he felt he could. enfin.
soup, but hot.
You could have put the sax more in front I guess. Like good old Mano Di Bango!!!
Ooooh, i like drumming.
Salala.
I like the rooster.
I thought I was going to hear Sting singing
Sometimes I think it's out of ridm??? But then I know those african ritmes are hard to handle.
let's go party!
very nice. It reminds me of my experiment with Shock the Monky: PG Goes Classic
Like it a lot!
when I was listening a poem (about being near to kids or youth.)came to my thought:
by Guido Gezelle - The Night And The Rose
I have many an hour with you
worn out and enjoyed
and never has an hour with you
bored me for a moment.
I have many a flower for you
read and given,
and, like a bee, with you, with you,
drank honey from it;
but never an hour as sweet with you,
as long as it could last,
but never an hour as sad for you,
when I had to leave you,
as the hour when I close to you,
that night, sitting down,
heard you talking and said to you
that which our souls know.
Never a flower as beautiful from you
sought, picked, read,
like that night that shimmered on you,
and I could call my own.
And just as well, as well for me as you,
-who will cure this evil?-
an hour with me, an hour with you,
wasn't allowed to be an hour for long;
And just as well for me, and just as well for you,
so endearing and exalted,
the rose, even if it was a rose from you,
wasn't allowed to be a rose for long,
yet long preserved, this I say to you,
even if I'd lose it all,
my heart three treasured images: you,
the night and the rose.
thanks for the remix.
A restless soul, wandering by full moon on wet, soft and warm green fields, looking for a lost aim.
I would like to see the videovlip!!!!
Geeee, how strange!!!! The music is a lot slower than the one I uploaded???? Much more LAID BACK than I wanted to.
How comes? Has anyone had this trouble before?
Oskar.
Good job! (one has to wait log before there is some sort of releave, there is no refrain feeling.)
Hey DJ, thanks for listening: There is a new bass partituur, new drums, a piano. If you listen well you even hear 'Nusrat'sounds in it. Maybe you like more the club-mixes wtih more synths and so?
I tried to create a bluesy feel, you know, working on the chain.
Hey Suzie, I like soberness ans small things. I like your remix, it makes you really listen to details. I like it. I like it a lot.
(thanks for your comments too!!)
Warm and broad, like a southern wind that brings the first sings of spring.
I made a new mix of this version: it should appear in a few days. Les drums, more atmosphere, more text.
a late late late night remix?.
It's got a real blues feel, I like it.
Let's take a wiskey.
I even hear a whole gospel choir clapping hands: it's inspiring.thanks.
it's not the same as PG did with the late Nusrat, but it has indeed something mythical. (I'm gonna try one with this pack, thanks for the inspiration!)
you know Praga khan? This with some fat basses. I like the idee that there is a dj live busy
the bass sounds like a real sly and dunbar tune. Swing it baby.
You don't really need PG, do you!?!
Is this still a remix, or do you use the sound of PG's voice to suit your own song? Just a philosophique question.
which reverb did you put on the voice?
It is, of course, a 'collage': 2 different worlds brought together. I know you can hear that. I puzzeld a lot on PG's voice to try to fix them together. I did it for the experiment, to bring those two world together. It's difficult to give a new interpretation to lines we all know so well, so it needs a few time to be listend to before you can experience the 'new' meanings it brings to life. Enfin.
magic.

does this forum still live? I wander.
